Restoring the Body of Christ

“Albedo and Obedience”  11/27/07

“Albedo” ~ is the % of radiation reflected by an object.
An object’s color is determined by the kind of light it reflects.

• light objects reflect all the colors of light.
Snow reflects nearly 90% ~ so it stays cold.

• dark objects absorb all energy falling on them.
Black soil (plowed field) is warm.  Reflects only 5% energy into space.

After a mere 40 minutes,
the sun delivers as much energy to earth’s surface as all the people on it use in 1 year! *
*Abeka Science, grade 7

For the Lord, one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day?
         2 Peter 3:8, Psalms 90:4

The radiant energy of the sun transforms into kinetic energy ~ which is what makes air move.

What kind of reflection am I?
Do I possess a high Albedo?   Am I full of light and so ~ reflective of Him?
Is my % rating like snow ~ transforming my immediate atmosphere by intense kinetic energy?
Does my  “Albedo”  make things move

After 40 a mere minutes,
can folks around me perceive that I belong to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords?

“Obedience”

Obey comes from the Old French and basically put “to see” and “to hear” together.
Obey means (according to Webster) to carry out orders, to be guided by, to be willing to obey.
It often carries with it a gesture of respect or reverence.   It also means “docile”.

Docile is also Old French, meaning, “to teach”.  The basic reference is that if you are docile, you are easy to teach, easy to discipline, tractable and easily managed or worked with.  God reminded me of an old movie ~ “The Princess Bride”, where the hero repeated a single phrase ~
“As you wish… “   I wouldn’t have thought of him as docile, but there it is ~ and ~ God seemed to be pleased that I made this connection.

Obedience in the Greek is “hupakoe”, meaning hupo “under” plus akou “to hear”.
  Being under and hearing.

Hebrews 5:8  Although He was a Son, He learned active, special obedience through what He
suffered.

Romans 6:16  Don’t you know that if you continually surrender to someone and do his will, you are the slaves of that one you obey?  Obey to sin and see death.  Obey to righteousness and see God.

Obedience

Romans 10:17  So then faith comes by hearing
and hearing by the Word of God.

Hearing  “Akoe”  to actually physically hear, the sense of hearing.
Word  “Rhema” to speak.  The spoken word, not logo (as in written) by spoken, a now word.

Faith “pistis” firm persuasion, conviction, assurance.

1) your full acknowledgement of God’s revelation ~ His Truth.
2) your personal surrender to that Truth.
3) your conduct is then inspired

Not as in faith in the promise, but faith in God, the Promiser.

Message Romans 6:16,    Offer yourself to sin and it is your last free act.
Offer yourself to God and the freedom never quits!

Emily’s vision.
Our choice between staying in the dark, using a flash light or flipping the light switch.

Psalms 119:96  I have seen that everything human has its limits and end ~
no matter how extensive, noble and excellent; but Your commandment
is exceedingly broad and extends without limits into eternity.
Kati’s vision.
I’m on a mountain top, where the air is humid and very heavy on me.  The clouds below are stormy green and purple; I feel uncomfortable and gross.  A circle of pink flowers surround my feet, but they are too pink.  They make me uncomfortable too.  I keep hearing the word “heavy”, but it is not like the beautiful heavy Presence of God.  I think God is showing me to discern what things are truly His and what things only look like they are His.

Don’t be afraid of what you see if God’s Word is different than what you see.
          2 Chron 20:15

Psalms 119:74  Those who reverently and worshipfully fear You will see me and be glad,
because I have hoped in Your Word and tarried for it.

Romans 10:17   We conclude that faith is awakened by the message
and the message is the Word of Christ.

Message Romans 6:16,    Offer yourself to sin and it is your last free act.
Offer yourself to God and the freedom never quits!

Whoever it is that I listen to, I hear.
Whoever it is that I hear most often, I obey.
Whoever it is that I obey, I am.

My illegal and illegitimate choice.

Satan.  “satanas”  The adversary.  The opposer.

Matthew 16:23  “Get behind Me, Satan.
You are an offense to Me,
for you savor not the things of God but of men.”

John 6:70    “Have not I chosen you 12 and one of you is a devil?”

Devil.  “diabolos”  (“dia” = thru and “ballo” = to cast)
One who casts himself (or something else)
between 2, in order to separate them.
Falsely accuses and divides people, anyway he can.

1st occurrence in Genesis, where Devil accuses God of withholding.
The river came out of Eden and divided into four streams.  Gen 2:10
Abraham and Lot divided.  Jacob and Esau divided.  And so on…

Satan wants us to not only be divided, but to become devils and divide for him.

Greek ~ to divide ~ “diakrino”
to separate, be at variance with oneself, be divided in one mind. (schizo)
discriminate…  my mind sticks to the dis….

So what is up with the “dis” ??

“DIS”   In Roman mythology, this was the god of the lower world.  The god of Hades.
Is it any wonder then, that “DIS” is so ~ negative?

So there are 3 witnesses in heaven:
The Father, The Word and The Holy Spirit, and these three are One.
And there are 3 witnesses on the earth: the Spirit, the water and the blood
And these 3 agree and are in unison and their testimony coincides.
1 John 5:7,8

I and My Father are One.                      John 10:30

And now I am no more in the world, but these are still in the world;
and I am coming to You.    Holy Father, keep in Your Name those whom You have given Me,
that they may be One as We are One.     John 17:11

For we, no matter how numerous we are, are one body,
Because we all partake of the one Bread (the One whom the communion bread represents.
          1 Corinthians 10:17

… they lifted their voices together with one united mind to God….
… when they prayed, the place was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit
and they continued to speak the Word of God with freedom and boldness and courage!

Now the company of believers was of one heart and one soul,
and not one of them claimed that anything which he possessed was exclusively his own,
but everything they had was in common and for the use of all.
And with great strength and ability and power the apostles delivered their testimony
to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus,
and great grace, loving-kindness, favor and goodwill rested richly upon them all.
Acts 4:24, 31, 32, 33

“RE” means back, again, anew

So we now “reclaim” these “dis” areas!
Proclaiming, decreeing, announcing and making a holy utterance….

We take back the ground that “Dis” has claimed, tamed and maimed!

Stand together, we proclaim “Re” union!
We announce our “Re”commitment!
We choose to “Re”turn to the unity that “Dis” has stolen.

It is our birthright.  We have been created for it.

After this intense time of personal reclaiming, I feel once more drawn to the word ~  “Re”.

“RE” means back, again, anew.

Not satisfied, I look up “again” in the Greek.

God’s humor is above me.
It surrounds me, embraces me and actually ~ squeezes the pudd’n outta me.

In Greek, the word AGAIN is “dis” !

Oh God!
To be absolutely “albedo”, to be totally reflecting You, I must understand how this enemy of ours
works.  He continues to ~ dis ~ the human race.  His meaning is to reject and nullify us.
But You give us so many tools to combat anything he does!
You are truly Master of all.

So when satan throws “disharmony”,  I will throw “harmony again”~
And when he works “disappoint”, I will work “appoint again” ~

And he “dishonors” it becomes for me to “honor again” and so forth…..

This challenges me to pray, proclaim and decree all over again ~
Again ~ again ~ and again!

Father, You make me absolutely rich!
Let me truly “albedo” all Your goodness to all the world.
Grant me the obedience needed for correctly reflecting You.
