Touching All Generations

Restoring the Body of Christ

A Posterior Splinter 11/13/07

Are you ~
Uncomfortably hesitating?
Waiting on the Lord?
Asking Him to the door and promising you’ll go thru it?

Are you ~
Fidgeting and frustrated?
Jumpy and irritable?
Longing but languishing?
Out-of-focus?

Genesis 8  - The flood ends.

1 Then God remembered Noah… and He made a WIND over the earth.

(Remembered ~ zakhar)
1.  recollect, remember, reflect
2.  declare, proclaim, mention
3.  record, commemorate
(Made ~ avar)
1.  pass over, cross over, penetrate
2.  disappear, pass away, movement
(Wind ~! Ruah)
1.  moving air, put in motion by divine breath

vs. 6  Noah opened the window he had made in the ark and sent out a raven,
and it kept flying back and forth until the water had dried up from the earth.
(tuck this verse away for now)

vs. 8  Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground.  But the dove could find no place to set its feet because there was water over all the surface of the earth; so it returned to Noah in the ark.  He reached out his hand and took the dove and brought it back to himself in the ark.
   (First)
vs. 9  He waited seven more days and again sent out the dove from the ark.
When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf!  Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth.
   (Second)
vs. 12 He waited seven more days and sent the dove out again, but this time it did not return to him.
   (Third)

Genesis 8  - The Assignment is given.

vs. 16 Come out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and their wives.
Bring out every kind of living creature that is with you ~

So that they can multiply on the earth and be fruitful and increase in number upon it.

Perhaps you have a Posterior Splinter.
Posterior Splinters are caused from sitting too long, from shifting too often, in the Ark.

Read verses 7 and 8 again.

  He sent a dove.

What if ~

the Dove ~ is representing Holy Spirit?
sending the Dove 3 times ~ represents the fullness of testimony or   manifestation?
waiting 7 seven days between the sendings ~ means to be full, abundant, complete?
Noah was in the ark with 7 others.
What if ~
the olive leaf ~ represents the gifts of God?
the fact that the leaf was freshly plucked means that the gifts are fresh and new?

What if ~
Noah needed these fresh, new gifts of God in abundance?
What if he needed them completely and fully manifested,
in order to do what God assigned him in chapter 9?

Genesis 9 - The  Assignment is blessed.

vs. 1 God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them,
“Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth.

The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth
and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands.

Everything that lives and moves will be food for you.
Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.”

What does that mean to us?  What did He give?  Did He give it only to them?

16  The Rainbow Covenant!

“ Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

Are we living in agreement and in faith with this covenant?

Or are we ~
Uncomfortably hesitating?
Waiting on the Lord?
Asking Him to the door and promising you’ll go thru it?

Are we ~
Fidgeting and frustrated?
Jumpy and irritable?
Longing but languishing?
Out-of-focus?

To be out of focus is to be blurred, unclear.

Focus ~ central point.  Focused, clear, distinct.

Focus

Where rays of light, heat, energy or waves of sound come together,
or where they depart from.  A central hub, the middle thing, the center.

A concentrated place, to bring a clearer image.
A point where rays (of light) reflect or refract.

Refract ~ “back to break” means to bend, as in a ray of light.
to act as an eye, to pass from one medium to another.

Reflect ~ to shine back, to give back an image as in a mirror.
       to throw back, to reproduce.

When we focus on Him, we automatically do what we need to do.
This is where things come together for us.
This is where good things concentrate on us.
This is where things are deployed from us.
This is where we make decrees of power, where we change our world.
This is where things happen.

So why are we so often unfocused?  So often disillusioned? So often confused?

Ellipse ~ the path of a point that moves so that the sum of its distances,
from 2 fixed points, is constant.
This path produces a closed curve.

(This path produces an “O” of God!!)

DEMONSTRATE ELLIPSE WITH WOOD BOARD, NAILS AND STRING.

2 fixed points.  (the nails)
One is Father God.  He is fixed and forever constant.
The other nail, the second fixed point, is my faith.
This one grows, moves, lives, matures ~ and as it does
it changes the line of my life ~ the “O” I allow my God to move in me.

This is the Closed Curve, the “O” of God in me.

The circumference created by that string is my sphere of faith ~
It is where I operate from, it encompasses my expectations.
It also defines my limitations.
The circumference grows in proportion as my faith grows.
Every time my faith grows, my fixed point moves outward, bigger,
expanding my boundaries!  It becomes an upward spiral, to the heavenlies.

DEMONSTRATE THE NAILS CLOSE TOGETHER, VERSUS FARTHER APART

Now, knowing what we know ~ why would our fixed point of faith not expand?

Go back to the verse we tucked away ~  Genesis 8:6

Noah opened the window he had made in the ark and sent out a raven,
and it kept flying back and forth until the water had dried up from the earth.

The raven ~ means “to be black” and “to leave home”.
Because of these meanings, the raven carries an evil omen.
The raven is also the first bird mentioned in the Bible.

What if ~
The Raven does carry an evil omen?
What if this was a spiritual release that Noah did?
Like Pandora’s box of surprises, so Noah released the raven.

And that raven is ever flying back and forth,
until the water (symbolizing the Holy Spirit?) is gone?

What if ~
The water symbolizes the Holy Spirit in us?
And the raven is ever-ready to pounce on anyone who becomes dry?

“Ravening” ~ harpazo ~  To seize upon with force.
To plunder, to rob,
To do this as an open act of violence.

 What if ~
We decide to move our tent pegs?
We decide to believe what God says about us?
We decide to foil the raven, and never become dry?

Father ~ pull our Posterior Splinter.

This is the Closed Curve, the “O” of God in me.

The circumference created by that string is my sphere of faith~
It is where I operate from, it encompasses my expectations.
It also defines my limitations.
The circumference grows in proportion as my faith grows.
Every time my faith grows, my fixed point moves outward, bigger,
expanding my boundaries!  It becomes an upward spiral, to the heavenlies.
